Get Quick Answers to Your Concerns
Do I need a doctor's referral?
Doctor's referral is not necessary for your physiotherapy appointment. All of our physiotherapists are very well-equipped in skills to assess, diagnose and formulate a management plan. If medical input is required, we would actively communicate with your selected General Practitioner (GP) and specialist.
What would you expect in the first appointment?
Your initial assessment involves a thorough assessment to help determine an accurate diagnosis of your presenting concern. A structured plan would then be discussed with you to maximize your recovery. Treatment is usually commenced in your initial appointment. However, in order to ensure we deliver the most effective management to your condition, treatment might be delayed to the second session due to the need of extensive assessment if your condition is complex.
What do I wear for my appointment?
To assist with assessment and treatment, please wear shorts or clothes that can easily expose the regions where assessment and treatment are required. This allows your physiotherapy session to be carried out in an efficient manner.
Do you bulk bill?
Unfortunately, the Physiotherapist service does not receive funding from the government. However, the following patients are eligible for bulk billing service upon the approved number of sessions. This includes:
- Patients receiving treatment under CTP claim or WorkCover claim
- DVA holders
We attempt to keep the out of pocket fee low, however due to the increasing cost of operating our clinic, we are no long able to bulk bill patients with Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC Plan). Please be aware that there is gap fee of $29.70 for patients with EPC plan.
Is there any risk involved with the session?
We use modern and gentle techniques to provide treatment for pain relief. Our physiotherapists would endeavour to minimize and avoid any adverse event during the session. Some treatments can cause minor side effects (including slight discomfort, bruise or mild exacerbation of symptoms) that usually subside within 24 to 48 hours. If there is any preference of your treatment choice to minimise any discomfort, please do not hesitate to discuss it with our friendly therapist.
